Exit Point & Father’s Day celebration

Dads, paint and ladybirds: our unit ended with an Exit Point celebration of learning and a Father’s Day celebration to remember.

What a celebration! Our unit of learning ended with an Exit Point, the moment when pupils celebrate, share and reflect on everything they have learnt, and this time we made it a Father’s Day celebration too.

Dads joined their children to paint giant minibeast murals together, posed in our “#1 Dad” photo frames, and cheered as the children, dressed in ladybird red and black, showed off their learning.

“#1 Dad”: Happy Father’s Day!

What is an Exit Point?

In a thematic curriculum such as the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) or the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), the Exit Point is the final stage of a unit of work: a celebration, synthesis and reflection of pupils’ learning. It’s where Haggai showcases her creativity.

Every unit also begins with an Entry Point: an immersive, exciting event that hooks pupils’ interest, activates what they already know and launches the new theme with high energy.
